This game was one of the better football games for the time, but was soon surpassed by several titles. Unlike previous games which simulated football, this one allowed the user to select the play and control the ball carrier and receivers.  It was quite innovative for the time and like other games by Bob Whitehead,  it was hailed by the media as ground breaking.
